Tan Buckskin monstraps… Amazing! Pointing a hint on what’s next… Americana with Italian tailoring and influence. Looks like retailers like Sid Mashburn make a great case for that and Mr. McNairy thinks a bit so too. Classic yet edgy and stylish with the details… Right down to that vintage Rolex with the face under the wrist… Def need to cop a pair of those kicks when they drop!

Great look but I have to correct “Gai” above.
That’s no Rolex. It’s close (but no cigar). He wears a Tudor, Rolex sister company. The dial clearly reveals the brand logotype.
Until recently, the Tudor brand used Tudor movements (in fact ETA) with genuine Rolex cases and bracelets, only with Tudor markings.
Now they have a completely own line of watches. Influenced by Rolex but not identical in design.
The identification trouble is evident; older Tudor’s were nearly identical to contemporary Rolexes, only a tad cheaper.
Older Tudors are very collectible. Certain models even in the same price league as collectors grade Rolexes.

The Tudor is a great watch. You get the Rolex housing with out the baggage. That shirt, great fucking cut. Or he wears it well, or both. That’s the way they shit fit. Old school. Trou, okay, but the roll, not so good.
Personally, one should always peg his trousers, zoot-suit style.

Hello Mister Mort,
I’ve been following your blog for a while now, truly great stuff.
If it isn’t too much trouble, I was just wondering if you could share some more info re the cargo pants you recently posted. I’ve definitely seen them (either in a magazine or somewhere online) in the past couple months, but just can’t remember who makes them or where I saw them. I’m looking to ditch my camera bag for good with these pants, I’d really appreciate your help.
Thank you.
