Milan Fashion Week FW12
Michael Hainey, someone I pay close attention to in the way that he may wear a very similar suit (pinstripes in a tropical weight) in summer, and this in the winter, to the untrained eye it could appear as the same suit. Kind of genius, he found what he likes and sticks with it. I saw him a few days prior in a beautiful tweed suit, or herringbone. And again, in the summer I saw him in a almost identical blazer with jeans! You have to almost touch the fabric to realize the weights are way off! Side note- that’s a denim Charvet shirt!
I was feeling dudes colors. The head-to-toe didn’t quite do it like this shot did..Generally I have a hard time with fella American peacocks. Not Guerre. Dude is a real cat, out there because he loves what he’s seeing. While we can’t all ‘see’ the same thing, we can appreciate it.
>a href=”http://mistermort.typepad.com/.a/6a010535d07789970c0168e68c47bb970c-pi”>Rarely a pose, never a filter! Simone!Eugene, ok. So here we have an American in Milan. He’s no rookie, he’s been around. He could also easily be wearing anything any European editor is wearing but choses to wear jeans (pretty classic American), a duffle (ok, it’s a modernized version but still toggles & wool, pretty classic elements) (i photographed a dude (def. Europwan) wearing a sleeveless duffle. Now I know Eugene would never wear that..He also wears a blazer, not some way too tight or overly tailored Italian screaming blazer but what looks as casual/easy as styled fleece. Looks comfortable, but not as bumbish as I did (im not happy about that) How it should be under such a coat & paired w/ jeans…The simple fedora is a nice touch. He showed up in a colorful striped Supreme ballcap at this show last season. Respect.Much respect for youth in overcoats! Model boy after/before a show.. Sweatshirt is rad too.
One of those ‘trends’ i saw a hundred of and didn’t shoot but wish I had. I love the oversized varsity jacket coat! Reminds me of the Chloe one for girls. Kinda funny. He’s so boss with his studded(?) brief running into Missoni.
Miles Flossin’ Some New Vintage Items @ Bread & Butter ~ Berlin
While I could’ve made this about a beautiful man and beautiful soul, I tried documenting this amazing vintage shirt someone made for someone they loved. Back when people had a custom of personalizing shirts for one another. Strawberries, flowers.. maybe they were an avid gardner.Miles always brings out treats when I see him. Check what he did to customize the jacket below. He decorated the collar using an old children’s belt!.
Different buttons add a nice ‘you know this aint a reissue’ detail.
A pocket sewed inside looks to be of denim. i wonder if it was added by the original owner or it came with it..
A rad hacked-off jacket now vest. Love all the tear/wear marks.
Paris Fashion Week FW12
Wish you could see Sam’s scarf. They dress today how my father dressed when he graduated rabbinical school. Small brim, beard and all..
The 2 images below are Visvim soldiers. Shot on the outside. Wouldn’t dare make pictures in the showroom. The tipi smelled beautiful. Like fresh buffalo skin if I’ve ever smelled it.
Last Images Of Pitti Uomo FW12 Firenze Italy
I like the way he mixed a workwear jacket under a vintage varsity jacket with Dickies
He bought this Alpha Industries coat about 20 yrs ago. It looks brand new.
Thy’re doing the blankie thing…
Leather shorts!
One of the best looks I saw. Wide wale cords, tasseled loafers and that down hat!!
These down blazers were everywhere, I kinda want one. I like how John is wearing it. Not too dressy.
Terry Ellis
Love how casually they wear overcoats!
I do love this classic American look. A duffle (probably not Gloverall, wish it was), crew neck sweater over a turtleneck!
That coat is so boss!
This was the most impressive new collection I saw. m’s braque, from Paris.
This shirt was the 1s item to grab my attention. Reminds me of an old Nicole Miller tie or Moschino print..
Again, most Americans look costumey. Not Sean, simple DB, spread is a bit dressy, but hey, we are in Florence. I might not have hemmed the jeans, but that’s me. All in all, it’s perfect.
Dude from bstore again. If he was American this would’nt work as well. I dont mean to be so hard on our people, it’s just that the shorter proportions tend to look not as natural. I could do because I’m not tall, but a real man size might have a harder time.
This is one of the 1st times I didnt mind long hair worn with a fedora.
Some Details ~ Top, Mid & Lowers of Pitti Uomo FW12
One of the 3 Inventory dudes. They were on my best dressed list. Not Peacocking at all, all in classic, practical layers.
Dude from 14 oz. Paisley bowtie with gingham LVC western, Gloverall!,
Wanny di Filippo
Acne patent leather ‘desert boots’ with bows!! Kinda want these.
Daiki of Engineered Garments. What a perfect jacket. Apears to be classicly tailored w/ extra pocket.
Nick Sullivan of Esquire.
Paisley Dr. Marten’s, not sure if thyre men’s but they’re killer.
Stripes, polka dots and I think that’s fair isle under the striped T.
The Japanese love their Paraboot..
