John came to San Francisco to study and worked at Cable Car Clothiers where I had gone and chatted with him on a few occasions. This particular day I saw him walking by the Levi's store in Union Square and had to make a quick photograph. Most young dudes in this country have no idea how to wear such simple items like a tennis, cricket, rugby or whatever you call it staple sweater with a polo shirt under and a chesterfield overcoat!
If I had a haberdashery I would have these signs all over, if I had a larger flat or house, my dressing room at home would be full of old ads.
