I was waiting for my party at the clock in the main lobby of Grand Central Terminal yesterday and saw 4 men in short pants. Two looked like they had come in from Greenwich to hit the Downtown Athletic Club wearing camelhair overcoats, one looked like he was just a jock and then there was Jay. I had to talk to him…What a brilliant man, listen to his story.
Always been a huge fan of this bag. Motorola Razor Copped 2 pairs o' tenniesDenim underwear for the kiddies over their diapers. gangster with the red cloth out the back pocket. Stetson Open Road, I mustve shot this hat 100 times since being out West. Love me a needlepoint loafer Love old Jansport! Those vests the Japanese and cool guys everywhere lust for. Huge fan of a proper tab collared shirt. Hazy shot but one of the best looks I saw. Good look rock star. I dont really want to show you the full length, he kinda messed that part up. OK, here it is. We've all seen Buddy Lee dolls, but I never get tired of shooting the lil' guys. Did you read this shirt??
Every morning I chat with a very friendly fella, a retired merchant marine named Buddy. Buddy is a neighborhood fixture, hangs outside a local coffee spot and I can count on seeing him in a different patagonia pullover with a different colored turtleneck and hat every day. With each day he also introduces me to one of his friends that happen to have stopped for coffee on a bike ride or run. Today it was this cool dude. Training for a 48hr marathon in Arizona! He removed his glove to shake my hand like a true gentleman does. And told me about the gators, how they keep rocks and pebbles out while running. Oh, I obviously took the photo because of the shorts.
Much love from sunny California this morning.
