Look at this guys kit, the posture, the cadence, he’s groovy, you can clearly see he has the attention of a couple of young lovelies, maybe he’s a student of Robert Greene’s "The Art of Seduction" or he could be a natural, the wispy wet side-part of the hair hearkens on the character Jean-Louis from Eric Rohmer’s 1969 classic, “My Night at Maud’s”…the un-buttoned pleated barrel cuff even reveals a Buddhist prayer bead bracelet and a leather banded timepiece, so we’re convinced he’s a punctual moralist, but loose, possibly a YSL vintage find, freshly unfolded from years of storage, flossing a club (Cambridge) collar, a light sky blue, relaxed without a t-shirt or an a-frame undergarment, the blackberry can easily be swapped out as a card holder, 'magine…but what went wrong with the polyester trousers, when MisterMort first flashed me this set of pics, yet another candid moment captured from the man himself, i thought, here's a classic case of long arms with shallow pockets, when the talent is there, always remember to never short change yourself, notice the twenties popping from his change pouch, don't reveal your hand whoadie, it's in poor taste and so is the harsh clash of materials, i was expecting a light wool, maybe a gabardine or even a linen, pleated with a nice hardy and comfortable rise, nope, he's runnin' a heavy poly, i can see the thick 'hidden' seam and pil balls for days, even from this angle, and lemme find out that's a belled jean cut and some boots that were made for walking, but hey, you tell me, should he forget about the walkin' and just get to steppin'?

I’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it once more. I started my biloggg while working as a Market Editor at Men’s Vogue. I would be out on appointments and knowing the magazine wouldn’s shoot or cover certain items, I would shoot them for my own library and eventually share with you, the general public. Now when I go to a presentation I see so many cameras, I tend to keep my lens cap on. While some of you wish I would leave it on instead of shooting and sharing certain images, i choose to share with you all.
I like Antonio and think these sweaters are rad. (I’ve always wanted a Norweigan with buttons from LL Bean) The necklaces over the shirt are a funny touch. While I may not do it, I like it here.
For the start of Fashion Week, I thought I would post someone who has been wearing Brooks Brothers & J Press for over 40 years. I photographed William Zinsser in a Brooks Brothers Overcoat, Brooks Brothers oxford shirt, J Press scarf, blazer and tie. He took his glove off to shake my hand. Thats a true gentleman, it was frigid out. He asked what it was that I like about what he was wearing and I told him the classic timelessness of his look. He mentioned he has an oil painting of himself and the artist made the roll in the collar very clear in the painting! No one spots them like I do. I did some research:
William Knowlton Zinsser (born October 7, 1922), a writer, editor, and teacher. His 18 books, which range in subject from music to baseball to American travel, include several widely read books about writing. On Writing Well: The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction , first published in 1976, has sold almost 1.5 million copies. He began his career as a journalist for the New York Herald Tribune, where he worked as a feature writer, drama editor, film critic, and editorial writer, and has been a longtime contributor to leading magazines. Throughout the 1970s, Zinsser taught writing at Yale where he was master of Branford College. Now teaches at The New School and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Many high school teachers have incorporated Zinsser’s writing into their lesson plans. Some teachers even go as far as to tell their students to “Zinsser” their work (Zinsser used as a verb meaning to take the clutter out of their essays).
