Probably the coolest kid I shot the entire Fashion Week in NY. Abdoul is so cool and a true modest individual. I saw him at a few presentations I attended and of course wanted to shoot him at each one. He was cool with it, but I get super nervous when I love someones lewk and know the person is shy for lack of a better word.

Walking through meatpacking one day during fashion week I ran into Sean & Charlotte who stay killing it in the dress up dept. I ran into them in Paris during fashion week last year.

One evening this summer as i I was on my way home from the airport I received a telephone call from my friend Jay informing me he’d be in front of my house and I should be ready to go to Bolinas for the night. I was just returning from a work trip and needed sleep but since I’m always up for an adventure I decided to go along for the ride and not put up a fight. Im glad i went along. If you have ever been, you know what I’m talking about. Bolinas is a coastal community best known for its reclusive residents. Historically, it is only accessible via unmarked roads; any road sign along nearby Highway One that points the way into town has been torn down by local residents. Bolinas and its reclusive reputation are featured in the 1981 novel Ecotopia Emerging by Ernest Callenbach. I have not read it yet.
Here we see the mix of pillows…You know I love patchwork.
And teh mix of patterns keeps on going
Wish I’d have shot this with the other gun. Colours woulda been truer.
These tweed Birkenstock things are pretty rad in the outdoors.
Thank You Nile.
The kind folks of Engineered Garments invited me to tour their store that opens later today at 307 W. 38th St. in a space that used to repair sewing machines will now sell their collection as well as Nepenthes and Needles. In fact, the old signage is still there. Not covered or painted over, yet anyhow…
Bossman/Founder of Nepenthes & Needles designer Keizo Shimizu. I need those socks!!
Hanging the work of Carrie Housman & Darbury Stenderu The show is based on designs they have done for Nepenthes in the past. I know its a sneak preview but Im gonna delve in a lil here. No two of the fourteen fixtures around the store are alike. There is one made of rare pieces of wood, cant remember the name of the wood but the Japanese use it for chessboards.

Suits insane. Love it. Costumey, yes, but I'm stuck in the 70's in my head.
